The Capitol Technologies CT90 is a replacement battery for the Sony BP90. The CT90 however, features several improvements over the Sony BP90. It is a NiCd 12V battery that comes in 4AH and 5AH versions, and has several features designed to improve performance and longevity. An auto-reset circuit breaker protects the battery from shorts; just remove the cause of the short, and the breaker resets itself. It also has a highly flexible power cable that remains flexible, even in very cold weather. Even the power connector is flexible. A grommet built into the battery casing protects the power cable from chafing. The extra wide carrying strap, plus the tape that wraps the battery, come in ten different colors, and in any combination of colors, for easy crew / battery identification. Lastly, the CT90's strong polymer casing helps the battery survive everyday mishaps.
